Friends

The chapter that means the most to me is Friends.  Even though Strunk and Jensen had their own little war over the jacknife,  they soon got over it.  They didnt become instant friends but they did learn to trust eachother and have eachothers backs.   Even if you have a fight with someone, life is to short to sweat the small things.  I like that part when Strunk gets injured Jensen really tries to comfort him even though in that particular situation it was not so good, he says "Really its not so bad, Not terrible. Hey really--they can sew it back on --really." (O'Brien pg. 66)

  1. I had picked the chapter "Enemies" so, I love how this story relates to the other.

  2. I to picked the chapter of "Enemies" but looking back now I really wish I had picked this one. This chapter really is meaningful about friendship in so many ways. It also has a great meaning about making promises and then going back on those promises because it is not the right thing to do. Friendship though is a beautiful thing and even enemies can become friends if they just learn to put their differences behind them and learn from their mistakes. That is what these men did and I believe that is what a lot of people do. I remember becoming best friend's with someone who I was originally an enemy with. It is funny how things end up working out in the end.

  3. I liked this chapter too. You don't need to fight with your friends over stupid little things. You should enjoy the time you get to spend with each other instead of fighting.

    1. I thought this was a very interesting chapter, it really made me think about how tough it was for all the soldiers. They all had such hard decisions to make while they were in war. Jensen and Strunk agreed to kill each other if they were disabled, but when it actually happened, neither one of them could kill their own "friend."
