Ain't Scared of Your Jails- Aladin S.

The documentary, "Ain't Scared of Your Jails", opened my eyes to the devotion and bravery in working to gain equal rights. The part that struck me the most was when the white gang members were beating up the students at the bar without the black students even fighting back. It's amazing how they were able to control themselves regardless of how much they were being beat. If it were me I'd be swinging away, there's no way I'd be able to take that. In the end of the documentary, one of the freedom riders was telling a story about the freedom rides and how they were being attacked in Alabama by a group of Clansmen and how he decided to run "right over the rail, over the cars, and away." I thought it was funny how he told the story because he showed how scared he was and how he looks back at it in a funny way.

  1. I agree with you that it was amazing how the blacks stuck to their "nonviolent" personality, it just really sucked that they still got arrested wither they were violent or not
