  1. Twiggy

I thought this group had a good video clip to go along with their presentation to show how skinny she actually was. I found it interesting how it was her that actually started the skinny model trend. I thought that was always how it had been. I'm not sure if it is a good or bad thing that she started it. from Christian

  2. You guys taught us that she was basically a feminist. Maybe not so great in some areas (like being so thin), but overall she started a good trend from it. I liked the photos chosen to represent her image.

  3. Like christian I did not know she started the "skinny" model trend but I think we learned that wasn't what she was about. Freedom of women and what barriers they could over come. She was the public image to the private rights going on in the world.

  4. I thought it was great that you explained how she broke the mold of what women were supposed to look like back then. The video clip was a great idea, it really showed her personality, which was nice. Good job!

  5. This group did a very nice job at presenting a person that I had never even heard of. I am happy that I got to learn about her and understand what kind of work she did. The content of the presentation was interesting and held my attention. The fact that today she is just a regular person and didn't end up messing up her life and allowing the 'celebrity' in her corrupt her is amazing. Many Hollywood stars end up messing up their whole life. The video was very helpful in helping us understand who Twiggy was and what she stood for! Nice Job!

    1. Oh Twiggy! First off, in some of the pictures she kinda reminds me of Kristen Stewart. lol just sayin. You guys did a very nice job in the presentation. I had no idea that she was an actress as well. that was something very new to me. I also didn't know that she started at such a young age and that she drew on fake eyelashes. I loved how you guys told us about She was a judge on ANTM. ( America's Next Top Model) She actually is quite the character on that show. The style of the power point was done in a very organized way. i loved the pictures that you showed and the video of her as well was really entertaining. thanks for the presentation.

  6. The hand out you passed out helped me to payatention to the deatials you told us, which were really good. I didn't realize that she would have been very different from models of her time in the 60's. I actually heard some where that her picture was even sent into spaece in a time capsule, that's awesome.

  7. I find it really interesting how small she was and how she was able to start the "small" modeling, rather then the "full figure" models there were then. Great presentaion and I liked the quiz to go along with it.

  8. Your quiz was so cute and I liked that it made us pay attention. You spoke very clearly and I found your video very effective, but I wish it wasn't as long as it was. She is very influential in the fashion world and really shaped the look of the 60s. I dod not know that she has recieved two golden globes in her lifetime and it is always exciting to learn about an icon that is still alive. Also she can be considered an icon because she is one of the first people to become love and well known internationally. As you said she wsa welcomed with warm arms when she came to America.

  9. Its amazing how she was one of the first do skinny modeling. I thought that was around for a long time before. The video you added in the presentation was pretty cool because it showed her personality. I also thought the eye lashes drawn under her eyes looked pretty cool, might start doing that myself ;)

  12. The video you showed was awesome and an easy way of telling us about her and what her background was. It gave sense of her and what she modeled like. You guys did a great job teaching us about her and how different she was compared to other models at the time.

  13. I enjoyed learning about how Twiggy had inspired many women in the 1960s. She wasn't afraid to be different than the norm and made an impact in modeling and fashion still today. The handout was a neat idea, and it helped us get involved in the presentation.
