  1. Bob Marley

I liked how this group had one of Marley's songs on their handout. I did not know that Bob was the first international superstar out of a third world country. That is a truly amazing accomplishment because most people don't even consider third world countries as having people capable of stardom. from Christian

  2. Like Christian, I also thought it was cool that he was the first superstar from a 3rd world. Style, I liked the audience involvement in the very beginning, and the lyrics.

  3. Great music, and inspiration to many who came after him. I would have liked to have heard more about his political influences, but great information on how he got started.

  5. Thought this was a great presentation. Many people talk about Bob Marley but I had really never listened to him or learned about him before this. The music that was played really helped me to understand the style that Marley sings. It was also great to see the lyrics and be able to read along. The content of this presentation was very helpful in learning about Marley. The fact that he was the first big superstar to come from a third world country took me by a little surprise. Glad we learned about him!!

    1. Okay first off, i am not going to lie, when you played the song i was singing along in my head. 2nd, i was actually kind of bobbing back and forth to the song as well. You guys had a great presentation and the content was presented really well. I loved the style of the power point and the fact that you used the colors of Jamaica (if you will) as the back round for the power point. What i found interesting was the fact that he was the first International Superstar from a Third World country. great Job guys!

  8. He is so influential to so many people and the fact that you guys showed that we know more of his songs than I think we all realized shows what an icon he is. I liked the music clip alot and that the handout correlated with it. I really like Bob Marley and it was exciting to learn that he came from a third world country and still had such success. I think that you guys broke up the work really well adn it seemed to be presented evenly. You spoke calm and clear which made everyone in the roon relaxed and excited to learn about your topic.

  9. It's amazing how someone from a very poor part of the world and become one of the most influential singers and song writers ever. I also liked when you played his song "Dont worry be happy." It made me want to go back home and play that entire album.

  10. This was one of my favorite presentations. Bob Marley was my second choice for this for this assignment. It was interesting learning how he was so successful coming out of a third world country. Wish we had enough time to listen to the whole song instead of a short clip. Very nice presentation.

  12. I enjoyed learning about Bob Marley because I didn't know that a lot of his songs were about fighting and standing up for something. I also enjoyed listening to his song, and being able to read along with the handout.
