  1. Henry Thoreau

I liked how this group used an excerpt from Thoreau's book to portray their message. I learned that he was the true founder of civil disobedience, and it was Thoreau that inspired other great leaders such as Dr. King and Gandhi. from Christian

  2. I knew little of Thoreau, and now I want to learn more. Thank you for putting a spark in me from a great presentation. The most fascinating information was to learn he was the one who inspired the likes of Martin Luther King an Ganhdi.

  4. This information was presented to us very well! I enjoyed very much listening to what you guys had to say. I had no idea what an influence Thoureau had on Martin Luther King Jr. and Gandhi. The quotes that were given really gave your presentation a unique style and helped to understand the information better. Nicely presented!

    1. The presentation was done very well. You guys kept my attention with the content. i didn't have a clue that he influenced King and Gandhi. that was something new to me. I liked the style of your power point to and how you went into detail of what the pond represents. I also like how you described the closeness he had with nature. that was also very interesting to me. Good job guys!

  7. YOu guys did a really good job in breaking up the information when presenting it. I enjoyed the reading a lot and the fact that the pond respresents infinite because I really think that water plays a very influential role in the world. It is so beautiful and powerful at the same time and it blows my mind. I did not know anything about your person except that he was a writer until you presented and I learned alot. I liked that he inspired Martin Luther King and Gandhi. He was obviously an icon for his writing but to influence such major historical figures I think you can also be considered an icon in that sense too!

  8. I didn't know there was anyone like Martin Luther King back then, I honestly thought "nonviolence protest" was his idea. I may want to look into studying him more for future projects. I liked the handout you passed out.
