  1. Judy Garland:

I really liked how this presentation used video clips to show the Wizard of Oz and how it was utilizing new technology to create colorful scenery. What stood out to me about Judy Garland was how beautiful her voice actually was, which was illustrated through the other film clip. She was quite a star back in the day. from Christian

  2. On content, I liked that you highlighted on her background- her name change, family struggles, etc. It gave us insight on how she got to be that way. Style wise, I like that you did explanations during the video clips, pointing out what we needed to look for.

  3. What a talent! too bad like so many she succumbed to her own success. I guess we will never know the pressure these young talents are placed under, but apparently few can handle it. The mixture of video and lecture was well balanced. Call me old fashioned but I wish the industry would feature more talent like her today.

  4. I thought it was great that you told us that she had struggles with her family, and that she had such a beautiful voice. I also loved the clips you guys showed, it helped me know who she was and helped me recognize her.

  5. This was a very nice presentation. The content taught me a lot about Judy Garland. I had no idea that she had a problem with drugs. It is unfortunate that many of the celebrities have drug problems. The clip that was shown really took me by surprise. Until Laura pointed out the grass looked fake I had never noticed it. Definitely gave me a different perspective on this movie! Great presentation!

    1. Great presentation. You guys had excellent content and I loved the style of the power point and how it was laid out. The videos were fun to watch as well. I honestly didn't know what her really name was. I just called her The girl who plays Dorthy from wizard of Oz. I have heard though, that once you make it big and become a star, you can change your name to what ever you want. I guess that is one of many privileges of being a celeb. I also had no idea she had a problem with drugs.. Follow the yellow Brick road.

  6. Your video clips really added a lot to your presentation. I never really noticed all the technicolor in Judy's films, very cool.

  7. I find it interesting that Judy was singing at such a young age, an age that most could not even speak yet. I thought that you video was great to go along with the technicolor. Great presentaion!

  10. The picture backgrounds were awesome in this presentation. You did a good job describing how she had influences and mistakes just like any other celebrity and how hard it was for her. But despite that, how influential she was and how she affected everyone.

  11. I really enjoyed watching the clip of the Wizard of Oz because it showed me something that I had never realized... that the background was fake. Also, great presentation of Judy Garland and how she influenced the filmography industry. And I enjoyed how you guys tied her drug abuse to today's celebrities' drug abuses.
