No class today, Monday the 13th, but assignment for Wednesday

Students, I'm sorry I won't be able to make it today, as I got a bad inner ear infection and I'm going to have to take a sick day and go to the doctor.

I think we can use this extra day to make sure everyone is caught up, and if you have not done all your work on the blog for posts and comments, please do so.

Please read this original letter by the clergy to Dr. King, which prompted his response in the famous Letter From a Birmingham Jail, which you read for today.  How does this affect our view of the rhetorical situation and specific audience?  We'll discuss this  and more in class on Wednesday.

See you on Wednesday, and hope you all get this.

Mike Lohre

This book was written to follow the lives of the 8 clergymen, who were also working for Civil Rights, and explore the effect that the "Letter from a Birmingham Jail" had on them.
